How to examine MS Edge/Chrome Extension's actual installed code

Here's how to view the source code of an extension in MS Edge or Chrome downloaded from the Microsoft Store or Chrome Web Store. Now you can easily do a security code review, checking for rogue crypto-miners or offsite leaks.

Open Extensions 

Switch on Developer mode. this will reveal Inspect views link.
Click Background page; to edit app.










From here Devtools window will open and you can inspect the app code under Source or Application tab
