I followed the following great article on signing local exe with an Azure certificate.

Update: I repackaged this code signing tool for .NET 4.8 to run on Windows 7 - GUI for Azure Trusted Signing Local Exe dotNet 4.8




Just to confirm, if you have a Canadian HST number and use it for TaxID, clearing "Identity Validation" takes a few minutes, only.
